Claridis Receives Prestigious Industry Award! |

27TH ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED Outstanding commercials, videos and films honored from a record breaking pool of entries
New York City, NY -- (June 25, 2006) The Winners and Finalists of the 27th Annual Telly Awards have been announced. With a record 12,500 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this year's Telly Awards has been the most successful and competitive in the over a quarter-century long history of the Telly.
Maureen E. Harrop, founder and president of Claridis, Inc., a Phoenix-based training and consulting company specializing in the production of superior employee training video programs and support products for non-English-speaking Latino/Hispanic workforce, has been awarded with two Telly Awards this year. Claridis' videos, Respect: The Universal Language and Respeto: El Lenguage Universal earned a Telly. They were created to educate workforces throughout the U.S. on the topic of sexual harassment. By educating employees, companies can ensure compliance with state and federal sexual harassment laws.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Winners and Finalists represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. With a 26 year history of recognizing creative excellence, the Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected international competition.
A prestigious judging panel of over 25 accomplished industry professionals, each a past Winner of a Silver Telly, the top honor, upholds the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Fewer than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of a Silver Telly, our highest honor.
Chairman of the judging panel, Richard Friley, the Emmy and Telly Award winning President of Friley Productions noted, "The incredible quality and diversity of entries in this year's competition was extraordinary. I know I speak for all of the judges when I say that I am proud to be associated with such a robust and vibrant creative community. It is a true accomplishment for all of the Winners and Finalists to be recognized from such an outstanding pool of entries."
